Fantastically funny! people should not take him too seriously as h is only a character, Sacha Baron Cohen is extremely clever, I went on a live TV show with him a few years ago before he was Ali G and Borat and he was just as cool in real life, a clever man who will make lots of money, by being Borat and making people laugh and cringe and get away with things that most people can't so hip hip hooray for Borat! :0)

He is absolutely hilarious.
"And Gypsies, can they play or is best to keep them away?"
You can always rely on his outrageous behaviour and actions, and the reactions of some ppl around him. Borat's guests are so funny by agreeing with him, or sum guests attempt to explain Western values to him. I piss myself almost every time. He's a legend,
"My wife she is dead…she die in the field…she die from work, an accident, but is not important, I have a new wife."
"You think maybe Blair is a man who take off his clothes and let his khram go hard and put in a man’s bottom?"
"Every Englishman must have a hobby. Some like to collect the stamp, some like to make the jam, but the most fun is to a kill a little animal with a shotgun or rip them up with wild dog."
F—ing hilarious. Heh heh!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's very funny + definitely not a bigot.
He's being thoughtless to Kazakhstan though, a bit unfair really.
Yes, it's a corrupt dictatorship (I'm assuming...) - but his humour attaches itself to Kazakh culture + people, not the government.
For definite, every Kazakh foreign student in the west for the next 10 years will have to put up with people asking them how accurate Borat is!

Borat is not a real person. He is a caricature of a foreigner from a poor nation. He is not designed to represent the people of the nation he supposedly comes from in any real way.

He's funny, very funny. Having the ability to think so quickly is a true talent. Sure he upsets people that he's making fun of but all comedy is bound to upset someone in one way or another.
But at the end of the day the people he's joking with will be thinking he's the fool, that's the joke. Isn't it?

Well what is the world coming to if people think a character is a bigot, it is just a bit of fun and if people can't see that then god help them.

Borat is a lampoon, not on Kazakhs, but on how ignorant Westerners see Kazakhs. Sascha Baron Cohen's portrayal of Kazakhs as backward brutes is supposedly not how they really are, but how we see them from the news and our distorted, naive, ignorant expectations of what "uncivilised" people are like.
So, in a way, /he's/ laughing at /us/.
That's a mark in my good books any day. :-)

Borat is HILARIOUS and a BRILLIANT representative for Kazakhstan. Anybody who thinks otherwise can have no sense of humour.
