I summoned up my courage to walk into my friendly neighborhood adult boutique, had a nice chat with the grandmotherly owner, and bought two things, one a $38 vibe. It appears to work, the little motor comes on. Get it home and it futzes out after like 5 minutes (if I wanted that I'd have stuck to real men). No, it was NOT human error, the little thing's just crud. It swtitches off whenever it feels like and comes back on when it wants.

I feel really uncomfortable with the idea of returning the thing, but I wouldn't accept a $38 blender that wouldn't blend! I don't want to screw over the owner, and I may want to shop there again, but it's not my fault either. Besides, can't she return it to the company, or at least write it off on her taxes as a business loss....?

Girl return the thing and tell the owner of the neighborhood shop that if you wanted something that turned off and on when it wanted to that you would have really stuck to real men! You brought t he vibe so that you could have total control! Men don't let us control their penis's, but they love to control and own our vagina's. Take the thing back to the store, and don't give it two thoughts. Why do you think the grandmotherly owner opened that kind of store in the first place, she wanted to let women choose when they would, and when they wouldn't!

You CANNOT return a used vibrator. The only thing I suggest is to speak with the owner and maybe, once proven that it doesn't work, you could maybe ask her is she is willing to give you something else worth the $38 you already spent. I am sure you could just throw it in the trash can at the store to prove your point.

unless you were told when you brought it that it was not refundable i don't see why you cant take it back, like you said you wouldn't buy a blender that doest blend.
you wouldn't be screwing the owner( you know what i mean) they would just return it to the manufacture.
next time try Ann summers the Rabbit is a must buy.
don't feel embarrassed about returning it, how do you think they feel they sell them. good luck. x

Have you tried some fresh batteries - maybe the nice grandmotherly owner had been running the batteries down on herself before she sold you it!

If that doesn't work, then definitely take it back.

Call the store and tell the lady what happened and she will let you know. Most of the time they are supposed to check the in store before you leave because you can not return them but every place and circumstance is different. Also she might tell you to return it to the factory.

If you call the botique up and tell then what happen, I'm sure they'll give your money back. Tell them you still have the receipt and the Vibe doesnt not work properly. Also they have alot of cool stuff in those places!! .

No, in most stores they have a sign with returns polices. I suggest call the manufacture and they will give you their mailing address.

If it is a real business and value customers they will want you to be satisfied with what you bought. You shouldn't be embarassed about it. Its your money dont waste it!
