How can I block yahoo messenger via a gateway?

How can I block yahoo messenger via a gateway so that it will never connect to yahoo server?

Pretty hard because it uses either port 80, 5050. Even if you blocked 5050 you can't block 80. Perhaps blocking by server name, although I've no idea what yahoo messenger servers names look like.

you could try adding it to the blocked list. or put it on the firewall to restrict access.
