I absolutely love animals. I have cats, dogs, cows, sheep, horses, goats, chickens, and turkeys. They are all pets. We never butcher anything on this "farm". However, they are not humans. (In lot of ways they're better than humans though !). A person who takes the life of a human deserves life in prison...or death. A person who kills an animal is not a "murderer". If there is torture of the animal involved, or if it's done "just for fun" that should be punished severely with some jail time and fines. I do feel that torturing animals, or just killing them for the fun of it could be a precursor to crimes on humans and these people should be on probation to keep an eye on them. Each case is different and should be treated that way. There are some reasons to take the life of an animal, as long as it's done humanely. I myself have never had to kill anything, and I don't think I ever could.

There should be some sort of monetary penalty and mandatory volunteer service for killing innocent animals. That way, there could be some assistance to the threat of an animal overpopulation. But not a lifetime jail sentence; then our lockups would be faced with overpopulation. As cruel as it sounds, animals can be easily replaced; Lord knows there's plenty of cats and dogs that need need homes!

You asked this already. My answer is still the same:

It's an animal, not a person. I think killing someone else's dog should be a crime, but not just killing dogs. There are too many already. Torturing a dog is another matter. I think that should be a crime, and it is one. I don't think that deserves a lifetime jail sentence either, though.

I am a dog lover. I have one, myself. I am also in favor of neutering and spaying dogs to prevent their numbers rising. But I'm also a realist. Too many dogs roaming around is not good for us or the dogs.

"life" is maybe a bit harsh- but surely a time penalty, some monetary fines- that should go to a REPUTABLE rescue group or shelter.
How about if they stay their sentence in a 4X8 kennel? At the shelter- and work there cleaning and caring for the animals under supervision?? Think that might add a bit of reality?

I knew of a case in England the place 2 New Zealanders tortured and a cat to the variety of horrendous degree that it had to be positioned down "by way of fact they have been bored". They have been making plans to bypass away the country in the previous their courtroom visual attraction, yet somebody alerted the police and that they have got been re-arrested separately. the 1st became given a six month penitentiary sentence by using a bench of magistrates who did not even call for comments in the previous enforcing that, the optimal sentence attainable on the time. the 2d regarded in the previous a diverse bench of magistrates and became sentenced to 6 weeks' imprisonment. certainly, the 1st one appealed against sentence and that they have got been out after some weeks in penitentiary. The sentencing powers of the courts are very constrained while it comprises cruelty to animals. yet what are those 2 youthful adult men as much as in recent times, i ask your self? in case you torture a danger loose cat on the grounds which you're bored, how might you manage fellow human beings, given of undertaking?

yes they belong to jail, animal killers need to or animal abusers should go to jail, because they are being human, we have to love any kind of pet and we should protect them, animals are needed in this world. A lot of animals supplies food for us, pets like dogs and cats are our best friend and the one who most protect us.

Yes. It's a life that can suffor. People try comparing it to a human life, but what they should look at is that the person doing the killing has no guilt in killing anything. These type of people will eventually move on to killing humans.

As long as the animals are innocent. Have they been put on trial yet? Did the cat commit treason?

There is no punishment that fits a crime like abuse of an innocent animal.

Murdering humans is punishable, but when you abuse an innocent creature that loves so unconditionally, and ask for so little in return, in my eyes it is like abusing an innocent child.

There is just no punishment severe enough for that in society.

No. The term murder refers to the killing of humans. Animals are not on a level with humans. I think that killers of animals should be punished but not as severely as a murderer.
