Bristle nose catfish and Discus Fish can be kept together as they both come from the Amazon and would be found in the wild together. The Discus is a cichlid and will feed mid water on insect live food and vegetation. The Bristle nose is a sucker mouth catfish and feeds on the bottom on algae, insects and carion. Both are egg layers and they both look after their eggs and young. Discus lay their eggs in the open on a stone ot leaf ands the bristle nose will find a hole or cave to lay her eggs where they are guarded while they hatch. They both require quite soft water at 6 to 6.5 pH tempertature should be about 75 F. Best of luck with two wonderful species,

Yes of course, all of them are very peacefull species. Even the discus family used to be very territorial and contentious, the discus are ones of the most calm cichlid (togather with the Pterophyllum scalare, I don't know the English ordinary name, sorry). And of course the catfish won't hurt nobody.

The only thing I would pay attention, is the water PH, I know the discus are very sensitivity to this, and perhaps the catfish urine due to their metabolism could change it.

Good luck !

If you are referring to a bushy nose pleco (bristle nose pleco) then the two types of fish will be fine together. the bushy nose pleco is actually one of the best algae eating fish available to hobbyists. One caution, the bristles on the nose get easily tangled in aquarium nets.

Yes you can put them in together. Th only problem is that the fish can not throw it very far and even if it could it would smash the glass and die.
