Try putting a wanted ad on Freecycle (no pun intended) which is hosted by Yahoo. You will get loads of stuff on there and what is great about is that it's free! people regularly clear out garages so you might find somebody is getting rid of one.

We got a top of the range exercise bike recently.

You can buy a brand new one, from Halfords on the A10 for under £100 pound, so no worries there if its stolen.......
