but make sure no other prog. is open on ur screen..
then by using few right&left arrow ya can select tht *shutdown*
then ENTER
and windows wld shutdown!
2> IF you running a P4 then you can doit by simply pushing off powerbutton on ur ATX cabinet.

press win key button and then U seperately
i.e winkey+U it will appear the shut down menu
alternate option
press winkey and then up cursor button and press enter it would also appear the shut down window
and a program to shutdown window
To shutdown computer with the shortcut key first make shortcut and type SHUTDOWN -s -t 01
To lock the user a/c when you have some piece of work
1. make any shortcut and go to the properties and in shortcut tab in target tab write %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation and in startin tab write %windir%

i hate windows xp, always freezes up and have to shut it done by pulling the plug. Dell support in India is not good these days. What happened to American Tech Support?
