Prior to the full development of the human brain as we know it now, our species operated much more (like all mammals) on the instinctual level. With less reason at our command, we relied on a kind of internalized emotional "radar" that told us when prey was near or if there was danger. That instinct never completely left us. It is what we now call intuition and some of us have it more than others.

The word INTUTION is the Latin word intueri - 'to see within'.
means, it's a instict that guides us what to do, or what is going to be? or it's a thought , in our unconscious mind, which will guide us for future.

if ur friend is going to meet accident and before a week, or months u dreamt or just feel, or think,
oh may be she met/ will meet with accident.
and in clear intution, u can have vision, like, she will meet with accident, at this/that location.
and it really happens. and then we realise , oh... i knew it. but it sometimes also helps if u are aware of it, u can save ur friend .

but it does not come from the analytical side of the brain, it's a sixth sense, or third eye through which u can have vision as u dream , u can have clear symbolic pictures, or people, or situations.
such visions are beyond our physical view. and only ur mind can interpret this vision .

2 - 3 times, i have clear vision, that this happens and very next day, it occurs. so i believe, but i think, intution should help if i know , this is going to be happen , and we can simply watch it. it's useless. if we cannot save those people.

u can also develop ur intution power through meditation, and when u have vision, u can understand what is intution.

Yes, it does exist. Intuition is defined as knowing something without requiring any convincing. In philosophy, intuitive statements would be "I am," "a thing is equal to itself", two things equal to a third thing are equal to each other." These statements are immediately knowable.

In real life, we call intuition those decisions that we make without thinking of them. In reality, intuitively knowing when someone is going to call, for instance, consists of a whole body of subconscious knowledge about a person; how often do they call you, when do you usually talk, what are their habits and schedules, did they need something from you when last you spoke, etc., etc. Without our realizing it, our minds synthesize all of this data into a judgement, which is proven true later. It's an educated guess based upon observations that we made subconsciously. People are constantly sending out thousands of non-verbal indicators that we use to judge them. You hold your weight on your back leg, you blink when saying a particular word, the inflection of your voice carries a certain undertone, you look away when someone makes a comment, you hold your breath, etc. Each one can mean something, and our minds can make basic judgements about our actions without our awareness.

It's when we can recognize these subconscious clues and fuse them with our reason that we can make truly insightful conclusions!

As an aside, after reading Dune by Frank Herbert (which discusses such minutiae), I started looking for these things in the behavior of those around me, and such observational minutiae really makes a difference! I can attest to it!

I once read that what we perceive as intuition is actually just animal instinct that we as humans suppress, because we don't want to make fools of ourselves.
An example is: A funny looking parcel arrives at a office. Everyones animal instinct alarm bells go off, but no one wants to sound like a superstitious fool, saying "I have a bad feeling", so everyone shuts up, except for one man, who hides his animal instinct behind humor, and jokingly says: "I'm out of here, before that letter bomb explodes" As he leaves the office, the parcel really explodes. This man wasn't psychic, he just followed his animal instinct and common sense, which told him the parcel looked suspicious.
I think that it's this common sense or animal instinct, and us acting on it, that is perceived as intuition. And it's the human condition of worrying what others will think of us, or worrying about being embarrassed, that stops us from acting on it.
So if you have a bad feeling about something, don't be shy, just admit it, you don't have magic powers (at least not more than anyone else)

Believing in intuition, sub-conscious and un-conscious mind are our laziness to cultivate a conscious alert mind. Intuition and clairavoynace exists or not, It is not as reliable as a alert mind. Get rid off illusion. After cultivating a clear mind, if intution comes, let it come.

Yes, I think it does. It's really a sensitivity to what is happening and a function of the subconscious. Our brains receive all sorts of information all of the time. Most of it is rejected as being not relevant but some people are 'more aware' and don't reject things immediately. Information is compared with all sorts of other things before being rejected and it's the links between apparently unconnected things (which happens behind the scenes and is not part of conscious thought) that we call intuition. It's really being sensitive to what our own brains are telling us - and knowing when to trust the information.

I've read a lot about how intuition exist. One scientific explanation I like is that the subconscious part of our brain stores a lot of data which we have inherited from our roots ( parents to ancestors). Thus, when we see familiar places, people, things, or experiences, we sort of know what to expect or see. Somehow, they are registered in our brain and instinctively we can react using our intuition coming from our subconscious mind.

I consider intuition something that my body or mind tells me is either wrong or right at that time. I go by my intuition quite often. It is like a first thought. If you think about it too much you get confused. It's my gut instinct I guess.

I think it exists, and I use it all the time. Often you haven't got time to analyse all the facts around a situation, and you have to go with a hunch.
