It could be something from your past, like a time when you did soil yourself in public. Alternatively it could be a sign that you're anxious about something else, and you're finding a target for your anxiety. For example, perhaps you're hiding a secret from everybody, and the soiling phobia is an indirect physical manifestation of your fear.

The most important thing for you to know is that actually this phobia is pretty common. It's even got a name (Coprophobia). People conquer phobias all the time.

Secondly, you should perhaps go to a hypotherapist who can help you uncover what your fear is derived from. If you're harming yourself as a result of your phobia, for instance if you're deliberately constipating yourself, then you should ask someone to help you change this area of your life.

Oh, and white clothes don't really scare me, although I do get a bit worried when my girlfriend starts looking at bridal dresses.

Would you enchanting ladies who have been so cruel, be equally as cruel if the writer of this was a woman? If your answer is no, then think about how decent a person you really are. Barbara Bush once said that the word that describes you rhymes with witch.

Were you harshly toilet trained, or pressured to learn too early (eg before you were ready)? Or maybe you were expected to know what to do but no one explained it.
You can try cognitive behaviour therapy to deal with it. And if you learn how to toilet train puppies and babies the right way, it might help you deal with the phobia a bit as well as not passing it on to your own kids.

You must be my friend P Hawkins, were you at Pitton school in the 1950s, he was unable to control his bowels much to the disgust of the girls and the amusement of the boys, so that might explain your irrational fear in later life

People have phobias about many different things. The important thing is how you deal with it and don't let it take over your life.

um....it means don't soil yourself in public and you won't have any problems but if you do...don't freak out and go insane.
