One of my friends told me that as advice.
He told if they see any CV with photo, they just ignore it.
Please help.

By the way, I am British citizen, and I have the right to work there, but I lived all my life in Egypt.
Give me a Break.

It is not the custom to add a photograph to your CV in the UK, so do not include one unless it is specifically requested.
Incidentally, don't take any notice of the people who make rude remarks about immigrants - for all they know you are a British citizen because you were born in Egypt of British parents. And if you were, then it is likely you are better educated than those who make such hurtful remarks!

This is essentially true. The purpose of the CV is to give an overview of your capabilities and education et al. It is not a personal autobiography. When asked for a CV just give pertinent description of your education, experience in your field and interests that connect to that field. Photo is definately a no no as it is not necessary unless you are a bearded lady applying for a job in the circus.

It is not normal in the UK to include a photo with a job application or CV unless it has been specifically requested.

You do not have to include a photo unless they have specifically asked for one. Some big companies whom sort their applications by compueter have issues with photos so may actually be a disadvantage.

depends on the type of job, for instance a bar job might like to have a photo to see what you look like, and office job wouldn't want one.
look at job sites like monster.co.uk they normally have good tips on writing CV's
My tip is make sure your spelling is perfect. Get an english person to proof read it for you before you go handing it out around town.
Good luck

I never have but it can go both ways. If you go for a face-to-face interview then I would use a photo (so they can remember you better). The con would be they might judge you by your looks but then that would be illegal. Good luck.

I have never sent my c.v with a photo, I dont think its fair because you can be judged on looks before the interview. Good luck
