I was lifting something with my left hand and there was a sharp pain and a click in the collar bone area.I have broken this collar bone in the past (about 6 years ago) - could it be weak still or do collar bones never heal properly?

That might have been your first thought because of your previous clavicle bone injury. However, I would ask a doctor about it if this is bothering you. When you wrote "click" I immediately thought of one of the tendons in your left shoulder's rotator cuff.

One thing a doctor or therapist might point out to you is that the "click" you heard wasn't necessarily a bone cracking or a joint out of its socket. Clicks can mean different things when diagnosing a disorder.

See this for an overview of rotator cuff disorders:

i think if it's really killing u , u should go to C ur doctor , but if it's not really bad , don't go 2 doctor , cause they would ask u lots of money for nothing !! and after all they would tell u , u should rest and drink warm things !!!!
i think resting is the best !
