there is only one way to develop fluency, comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary, and structure in a second language......USE THE LANGUAGE. if your student has a little English, talk to him, esp. about things that are important to his job, or whatever. use a tape recorder to record new vocabulary, and to correct structure and pronunciation. if your student talks, listens and studies his tape, he will advance quickly.
