Never looked at it that way.

Basically, people that do not have the money spend money they really can not spare on a chance that is very small to get that money. The poorer you are the more money you are likely to spend on it.

It is a dream the lottery sells.

Any type of gambling, whether it be raffles, bingo, or lottery is considered a sin by some Christians; however, there are no verses in the Bible that say anything against gambling. I believe it is the excess that gets you in trouble, when people spend too much on playing the lottery and can not tithe to the Lord. I personally would rather spend my money on something better. I have never played the lottery.

it is testing your luck
it is better to earn money than to wait for that special number
