I have used waterproof mascara for years now. It gives me really good curls. However, I realised that whenever I switch to non-waterproof ones, my lashes do not curl at all and look as good as not applying anything even though I use a eyelash curler. I can see dramatic curls on the lashes of my friends who have always used the regular mascara and I know for a fact that they don't have long and curly lashes. Why doesn't it work for me? Have you experienced what I'm presently experiencing? Is it because my lashes are so used to the waterproof formula that it takes time for my lashes to "obey" the regular formula? This is weird. Help!

Note: It is not the brand of mascara that is the problem. I've switched from one waterproof brand to another many times and they all work fine because the formula is still the same- waterproof. But whenever i switch formula (I've tried lots of brands), my lashes get lazy and stop curling.

Note: Also, it's not whether it's a curling or lengthening or thickening mascara problem. It's the formula!
