I want to buy a really nice pair of jeans. Does anyone know where I can get some in petite size, height of 5' 3". I have bought in Principles and Next before, but the shape is not very nice on me. Ideally would like a nice designer pair, but havent a clue where to start looking, but want to keep them for a good few years so dont mind paying over the odds.

it's always worth splashing out a bit extra on jeans as they are a fashion staple - try Seven, Earl, Joes Jeans or True Religion, they all do petite sizes (as they're favoured by celebs) and are a really good cut

I cannot tell you where to buy designer jeans, but I just bought two pair of petite size 6 jeans at Express over the weekend and I LOVE the way they fit! They are very flattering and while they are not too long (petite length) they are long enough to give the illusion of length in the leg. As an added bonus, they are comfortable and stylish.

this is a good question, the shops that are supposed to stock size 6 petite NEVER have any store, and the warehouse is always out of stock. I have bought size 6 jeans in River Island, they had 30 inch inside leg though and were a little long on me, but then I am 3 inches shorter than you. When will the shops recognise that there are loads of short girls out there and they need to start making clothes available to us. I hate shopping because I can never get anything to fit me.

Clothing manufactures and stores just plain ignore petite sizes.....and the clothes they do have never have a good fit.. they have a huge stock of huge clothes (no pun intended)..... and there are also stores that cater to big and tall and plus size everywhere. No offense, but most guys don't care what an obese woman wears, either way she is large and in charge and thats not very attractive.
There needs to be stores that cater to petite and smaller women/girls and maybe even shorter men (i.e. Danny Devito)
whoever breaks into this market will make a fortune.

Thankfully i don't have size issues, but my girlfriend does... she is 5 feet tall and its tough for her.

I didn't really answer the questions..... but there is my 2 cents...

Dorothy Perkings, i am only 5ft and that is the only place i can get a 29 in the leg and can sometimes get away with a 30, if there is a store near you and they do not have much of a selection then go on there website i hope this helps :-)

Gap - I'm 5' 2" and I've always managed to get nice jeans that actually fit from Gap. They have so many different styles etc.

I would try Jane Norman, Topshop, River Island or Warehouse. I'm quite short and I have managed to find lovely jeans in these shops.
