I am a Freemason of a different and esoteric Order, American Co-Masonry. Our headquarters is certainly NOT Washington DC. Sorry to disappoint you there. Our headquarters, Grand Lodge if you will, is in Larkspur Colorado. Care to look for yourself? Please click on the link below.

We don't have a national or world headquarters. This is a fact that some people miss when they propose the theory that we are trying to rule the world. There is no central governing body of Freemasonry. Each state has a Grand Lodge that governs Freemasonry for that state. Some countries have one grand lodge for that country, but there is no worldwide headquarters.
There ARE several large Masonic facilities in the Washington D.C. area, but you are probably referring to the House of the Temple, which is the headquarters for the Scottish Rite, southern jurisdiction. The Scottish Rite is a body of Freemasonry, but not by any means a governing body. It is an expansion on the 3 initial degrees of the 'blue lodge'. There are many Freemasons who are not members of the Scottish Rite.

Yeah for scottish rite they have northen and southern jurisdiction. Southern being a bit more reffered as top dog as Albert Pike was at that location and so is his tomb. However he was born in Mass and the Northern jurisdiction is in Mass.
