First Qualifyig Match was played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on 7th October, 2006. Sri Lanka won that match by 37 runs.
Second Qualifying Match was played between West Indies and Zimbawe on 8th October, 2006. West Indies won that match by 9 wickets.
Third Qualifying match is being played today. At the time of typing this answer, Sri Lanka batting first was 165 runs for 2 wickets in 33 overs. U. Tharanga is batting on 95 and Sangakkara is batting with 45 runs. S.T. Jayasuriya was run out for 9 runs and Jayawardhane was out for 4 runs.
