The lenses in our eyes invert images upside down and left to right. Both feet make it obvious what is up and down and the brain correctly re-inverts the image for us. It is less obvious what is left and right and one eye (and hand) must dominate to keep things straight. Usually the right hand dominates because it is controlled by the left brain which houses logic. The field of vision of each eye is split vertically and half is righ and left brained. many lefties were forced to be righties and the brain can organize either way. Perhaps heredity gives the process a slight push in the direction of the right hand. In some cultures (even ancient?) food was grasped by the right hand and sanitation by the left. Lefties were not too welcome at the common food table.
