Yes I do. I think with everyone else fit and playing well then maybe he shouldn't BUT with the amount of injuries England have at the moment how can Beckham be left out? And by the way if he doesn't pick Beckham 'cos he isn't good enough then why the HELL is that Stuart Downing in the team?

No he's past it, bearing in mind that England is looking to the next competitions, the Euro 2008, and World Cup in 2010
there are better players
there are more skillfull players
there are players with a better balanced skillset
there are quicker players
there are less divisive players
there are players bringing less baggae into the England camp
it looks to me as if "Brand Beckham" shelf life is rapidly approaching, it may be good for Beckham to play for England, Im not sure it would be for England.
Image and appearance should be the last thing that is considered on selecting a player for a football team.

I think mclaren dropped him because he would have undermined his ( mclarens ) authority within the team.
We should of course bear in mind that no one player makes a team, and lets face it they have won without him playing.
Too many players are selected by having a past reputation.
For instance, why did Rooney play when he was obviously not playing at his best, ( which should surely have been noted by mclaren during training and practice sessions ) and yet he replaced others who had played in earlier games and won.
Would also question why mclaren changed his team selection from one that was winning, by then including so called stars because they became available after suspension, and then lost.
