hugs work well and how about a few little bits and bobs wrapped up like favourite choccy bar, face mask, bubble bath and bits like that. its all the little bits that you do that will make her smile and remember that you cant beat good friendship! and give her an extra hug from me x

Sounds like your mates having a tough time. get her a card that lets her know you're thinking of her and you want to cheer her up. perhaps treat her to a bit of pampering: a manicure / facial / massage. Then arrange a night where the two of you can have a laugh. Girlie night in or girlie night out...get drunk and have fun!!

Reminder her that it's not all bad, she can always try to find a better paid job and with that will come the happiness. it could be that the reason she is down is because she's got no money.

when i'm skint it depresses me and i end up arguing with my boyfriend too as i can't afford to take us out or do anything. i know how this feels right now as i'm in a crap under-paid job and i've been arguing with my boyfriend a lot about stuff lately. but whatt makes it all so much worse is i've got my leg in plaster at the moment as i've broke a bone in my foot. i can't do anything.

...remind her to always look on the bright side of life - things could be worse!!!

Good luck :-)

Take her out for a meal this way you can have a chat and a nice bottle of wine - always cheers me up anyway.

Just be there for when she needs to talk and reasure her that things will get better.
If she really hates her job help her find a new one that she will enjoy.
Also if you can afford it treat her to a meal or a night out somewhere.

when my mates are down in the dumps i find turning up armed with junk food (chocolate and ice cream particularly good), alcohol and a chick flick seriously helps matters.
have a good old girly night in, talk everything through and i'm sure she'll feel better - good luck, you sound like a good friend

you can treat her to a night out or maybe go to the cinema with her....if her boyfriend is giving her grief then she should get rid of him as she has other things on her mind + him having a go at her wont make it any better.....she should try looking for another job aswell 1 with more money...
