LONGEST snake- Reticulated python
LARGEST snake- Green anaconda (not just "anaconda, there are actually 4 species)... by weight. They are much heavier bodied snakes.
Also the females of both species get larger than the males. I actually have friends who own female retics and female green anacondas...

The biggest ever reported snake is Anaconda bearing the zoological name "Eunectes murinus " . The other snake that competes with the anaconda is the Asiatic Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus). According to the Guinness World Records, the longest discovered snake was also a reticulated python from Indonesia. It was 33 feet long when found in Sulawesi island in 1912

the reticulated python at 10 meters

there were some reports of green anacondas measuring some 50-60 ft
(about 18 meters) and even over ones reported at 40m, but they have not been confirmed
however, the green anaconda is the heaviest snake at about 250kg and probably the second longest at about 9.6m

The Asiatic reticulated python is the largest snake(33 ft)in the world.Anaconda is the 2nd largest and is famous for its weight not lenght.
