you can use any musician from any time past and present, but you can't use two people who have been in a band together before. mine, for instance, is:

This has been done, The travelling wilburys was an amazing collection of the worlds best artists. Unfortunately their greatest hits has been deleted (I got mine from russia). They are readily available from download sites.

Your question was WHAT not WHO, so in answer to the WHAT part, it would be
Saxes: 2 altos, 2 tenors, 1 baritone - with the one each of the altos and tenors doubling on clarinet, one alto doubling on flute and one tenor on amplified violin.
Brass: 5 trumpets, 3 trombones (Bb)
Rhythm section: Piano, bass drums, rhythm guitar. Then on top of this, one male and one female singer,
That way I'd have a bloody good dance orchestra and concert band, just like we used to have before the coming of the electric guitar strummers and second rate 'vocalists' - and just what I used to proudly run - and perform in too!
