I'm specifically looking at what everyday life is like for the homeless,ie-is it as bad as people think, what exactly are the risks, how did they get out of the situation, how do "normal" people treat them when they find out that the person is ex-homeless?
I'm grateful for any help.Cheers.

I'm not ex-homeless but I do have a view on it. In Cambridge where I live we must have a higher density of homeless people than anywhere else in the country. I must point out very few of them actually come from here. This place is looked on as an easy touch for aggressive beggars, shoplifters and any of the other wasters. Having said that I do know a couple of people who were on the street here who not only got back on their feet but are doing very well. I don't know if it's a local initiative or not but M&S here actually have a programme in place to employ them. One lad I'm proud to know is now junior management. There are those that deserve support and those who don't.

I'm not from the UK, but being homeless is the same wherever you go. The risks are evident, no shelter, muggings, arrests, etc. Some are lucky, they find work and inexpensive living quarters, and if their fortunate enough, they can get out of the home/no home cycle. They're shunned by most people because they're thought of as being lazy.

the place I stay interior the NW we've had little snow yet sub 0 temperatures and can't think of how homeless human beings be able to stay to tell the story, a minimum of I certainly have have been given a roof over my head and a heat mattress to sleep in. So, do I certainly have sympathy for those adverse soles who will no longer be able to flee for their wintry climate injury, their 2d annual holiday interior the gentle? no longer plenty. it incredibly is approximately time the media concentrated somewhat extra on how incredibly everyone seems to be suffering to maintain heat in those severe climatic situations, and in specific the homeless.

i was technically homeless for a while, but i wasn't sleeping under bridges or anything, i was out up in a council house, with other residents, most of these people though were drug addicts and thiefs - anything specific you want to know??
