IMy boyfriend is like that too, when Im the one asking him him to come early, he says " baby am working. i will come as soon as am done". when he asks me to knock off early, i give him the same answer.
Tell yo dude you dont work @ his organization to knock off whenever he wants u too! if u lose your job, is he able to meet all your needs? tell him to stop being a cry baby...by the way, isnt he supposed to be at work too?

Why do you let him control you? There are billions of guys in the world. Trade him in.

He needs to know the world doesn't revolve around him.
