I have foam from the inside of an old chair that I am going to make into a fancy dress costume. I need high street paints or dyes that will work on a large surface area of foam.

You can paint the dye on, or washing machine if it fits, or soak in the bath.

There is a dye called dyson I think. You can get it in material shops, wool shops and I know woolworths stock it.

It comes in a cold water form and washing machine form

How To Dye Foam

You can't dye foam. Pour some water on it and see what happens. You must use some type of spray paint, building up layers of color, until you get the complete coverage. I'd love to see this fancy dress. While your at it, use some spray glue and glitter to "jazz" it up.

Take a spray bottle and add food coloring to it, and H2o. Spray alot or spray a little, depending on how light or dark you want it.
