How did it happen? How long did it take before you can walk again without limping or using any crutches?

Can you also explain the whole process you went through starting from getting injured to being released from the hospital? How long did you stay at the hospital? How long after being released from the hospital were you able to walk again?

I was playing on a brick and I fell and my ankle sprained pretty badly....

I didn't know that I sparined though...because that was my first time...

For a year I left it..and I always felt uncomfortable...I didn't limp badly but it hurted alot...so I complained...to my mum...and we went to the doctors..and she just gave me a heat cream....it worked for few minutes..but nothing happened...

So my mum took me to this Korean doctor and he got a weird glass thing and sucked air from it to make my skin rise where my ankle is...

He then got a pen or something rather similar and poked at where it hurted..and it killed..since it was a needle..then I started bleeding pretty bad...

he put the glass thing and sucked the air out..

30 seconds later...my blood stopped and it was all black and bubbly...

Apparently that was bad...and when he took the blood out it was all jellyish;;

After that I could walk normally and felt much better...and now I know never leave a sprained ankle alone for a year...

Sprains can range from the very mild to the pretty severe. With all sprains, RICE them:

Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation

You might need to immobilize your ankle with either an ace bandage, an air splint, or some sort of cast or brace from your doctor. Let your doctor decide if it's ok to bear weight and when you should be able to bear weight on your injured ankle.

My most severe sprain took two weeks before i was bearing weight, then another week before i was walking right. Ankle sprains generally aren't cause for hospitalization.

I sprained my ankle badly when I was a kid. It happened at school during recess. It hurt like crazy and I thought it was broken so the school called my mother. I left school early that day. She didn't take me to the hospital (we didn't run there so often back then). It happened on a Friday and I was back in school the following Monday. I limped for a couple of days. Due to my young age, I healed quickly.

You wont be hospitalized for a sprained ankle. Its not serious enough to be hospitalized. LOL

My hubby and I were screwing around in the kitchen, I was spraying him with the sprayer on the sink. He was coming after me and I tried to run, I slipped and sprained my ankle on the slick floor. It swelled immediately. Hubby took me to the doc, and they wrapped it, thats all. Took about a week before I wasnt limping anymore.

I used ICE for the swelling.
