There are loads of manufacturers who will supply you with plain t shirts to print on. Try doing a web search or look in your local yellow pages. If you do a good deal, they will give you free ones in addition to the ones you buy.
Silk screening is the best method to apply an image or text to a t shirt. There are commercial 'machines' you can get which means you can print 4 at once, or you can just do one at a time. Make sure you put some newpaper or thick card under the top layer, to avoid the dye going through both layers. Also, don't make your image too complicated - nice, bold images or text and not more than two colours (as registration can be a problem) - I'd stick with one colour as it's simpler.

There are many outlets where you can purchase cheap & cheerful plain shirts, contact your local "Rag trade2 the School should have the contacts for that or surf the net to find what you need Good Luck.

there are loads of cotton companies in india where they make t-shirts in all different types and it's like only 60pence for a plain t-shirt and if you want it in bulk its even cheaper.
good luck come to india and its realy cheap,for 1 t-shirt here you will get 6 t-shits there.

Tesco sell packs of plain t-shirts that work out to about £1.50p each. Quality isnt to bad either.

silkscreen is the best way to print on t-shirts. your best bet is to take them to a print shop and have them do it. they will probably sell you the shirts too. you should look into it.

Hanes will usually sell you a large volume but if your only looking a dozen or so then don't bother because they normally don't sell to the public unless you are buying in large volume

If you are in the UK, try www.europeanwear.com
they have no mins and and supply discounts for bulks. I think they already deal with YE schemes so this should not be a problem.
