The USA economy is in absolute shambles with trillions of dollars of debt. The manufacturing sector as well as service sector is fleeing the US because of extremely high costs involved.
No wonder US is involved in thinly vieled aggression and occupation of Afghan and Iraq to control the OIL from Iraq and Central Asian countries, at the same time supporting Pakistan, the mother of all terrorist activities.
The only leverage left with US is it's miltary might. It Can not afford to lose that if it has to preserve a semblance of Superiority over the World.
We therefore cannot expect the US to lower it's military spending, but may witness steep rises in the same.

If you consider more terrorist attacks in the U.S. enhancing the lives of ALL it's people, then sure, go for it.
It's up to YOU, skippy, to enhance your own life. Not the government.
This is nothing like past wars where Americans were asked to do without certain amenities so the resources could be used for the war effort. We were asked to give up nothing. Our taxes didn't go up to pay for the war either.
You really should let the grown ups deal with national security. Your time might be better spent worrying about SUVs and rights for illegal aliens.

The Soviet Union collapsed because it would want to no longer shop up with the spending necessary to examine our protection stress construct-up. as we talk the U. S. is slightly waiting to shop up with the spending necessary to pay the activity on the large debt the dems have run up. If any overseas skill began a reputable protection stress danger we would not be able to examine it both.

probably not. bush is addicted to war and fiscal irresponsiblity. What happened to Republican’s philosophy of “limited government?” Overall federal spending is up 42% under Bush, and CBO projects further increase pressure on additional spending coupled with rising interest rates pushing up the cost of servicing the swelling national debt, and rising medical costs and Bush's new prescription drug benefit pushing up the cost of Medicare.

The only people negatively affected by the war is the middle and lower class.
The republicans don't care about them. They are just sheep.
