Cindy drink lots more fluid (dehydration can cause dry skin).
Buy aqueous cream from your chemist it is marvellous.
It is dermatological cream for the relief of dry skin It is non - perfumed emollient that helps soothe, soften and moisturise dry skin conditions. It outshines any other creams meant for dry skin and it is a cheap solution.
Try not to shower/bath so often. I have found both the cream and less bathing to be of benefit to my dry skin. And I have definitely noticed the difference to my skin since using it. It is not half so itchy or flaky.
Hope your skin condition is resolved very soon.

Hi. One reason your skin is dry,is because you are probably dehydrated. Drink at least 8 full glasses of water every day. Also,I work in a nursing home, and the best thing we have found for skin is Crisco. Don't laugh, lol! A very light coating of this, works wonders. Apply as you would a high quality moisturizer. Meaning: A little dab will do ya. If you also have dry heels, put some on your feet at night and wear a pair of socks to bed. Same with hands, but wear a pair of cheap cotton gloves you can get in a hardware store. After about a week, you will see a noticable difference! Hope this answer helps you.

First, hydrate your body inside out and drink lots of water. 8 glasses a day is the normal amount, more is better if you're skin's very dry. Secondly, eat veggies because veggies help moisturize the skin inside out. Then find vaseline for extra dry skin that's not oil-based, with vit A and E. Take a bath a least 3 times a day and moisturize each time you step out of the bath. Don't stay out in the sun as well.

You're probably not hydrating enough from the inside out. Keep a big bottle of water with you all day and drink it! You need to readjust the skin products you use throughout your life as well as you age. You may need to start using heavier moisturizers or even body oils (Weleda makes some FABULOUS ones!! http://usa.weleda.com/). Dry skin is also a heads-up that you need to pay a little more attention to exfoliating your skin.

U need to drink lots of water and stay away from using too many things on your skin. Depending where u live (im in australia) u should try Hamiltons dry skin wash or a basic sorbolene moisteriser.

You need to take more nutrients in your diet. You probably have a lack of Vitamins and Minerals. Especially the oil vitamins - A, D, E, K. Cod liver oil is a good supplement to take. It contains all of the above vitamins.
In your case, you would need quite a bit of it - about 9 capsules a day (3 caps 3 times a day). These are the ones that contain 600 i.u. Vit A per capsule, and sold in stores.
You need to take them daily on a longterm basis. Note that oil vitamin supplements need to be taken for at least 3 months before you can see its effects. This is because you probably have depleted stores of the oil vitamins in your liver and it takes this amount of time to build it up again.
Also take Flax Seed oil, about 1000mg per day.
All supplements should be taken WITH meals, i.e. just after you eat, with lots of water. Don't take them on an empty stomach, they won't work.
Try to include cold-pressed oils in your diet. Olive oil and Sunflower oil are good ones. Oils in our food help the body digest any oil vitamins in the food. Without oil, we won't benefit from these vitamins, even if we take sufficient amounts of them. However, reduce or cut out processed oils - they are not good for health.
Eat a general well-balanced diet, with daily intake of Vitamins B complex and C. Remember to take at least 2 glasses of water or liquids with each meal, or within 2 hours of eating.
For temporary relief, use a skin lotion or cream that is PH balanced, around 5.5. This PH level should be stated on the packaging. (Dry skin has a PH level of around 4.0 or even below that.) And if possible, the lotion should not contain mineral oil.
A cup of natural vinegar in your bath also helps. This normalizes the PH level of your skin.

Your skin could get dry due to a number of reasons. One of them probably due to your skincare routine. I wonder what you are using to keep your skin moisturized. I have dry skin too, you could pick a good cleanser (non-foaming is probably better for you), a good hydrating serum and a good moisturizer. Do use them everyday. You can check out my reviews on the above categories here and see what I found effective: http://beauty-tricks.com
