It has to happen. Probably by the end of the decade.

There is no hypocrisy on the U.S.A.'s side. Only close-minded idiocy, devoid of any context, from some of the answerers.
The USA used nuclear weapons on a fanatical foe that had never surrendered and had to be bombed into oblivion. It was them or us.
If the Japs had never started it at Pearl Harbor, Fatman and Little Boy would never have been necessary.
Moreover, Japanese conduct during the war was amongst the most barbaric ever recorded, so please, if you want to feel sorry for them, do it on your own time.
The only fools that could possibly harm humanity are naive ones that say we should all disarm and trust and love one another.

For all the talk of fears that N Korea and others will use nuclear weapons, history shows that to this day, only the USA has used nuclear weapons against another country. And since that day it has been the only country trying to dictate to others what their nuclear policy should be. Yet, the USA itself has not disbanded it's cache of nuclear weapons and, if reports are to be believed, are busy developing a new array of nuclear weapons.
Anyone smell hypocrisy in the air?
How are the actions of the USA not hypocritical? This argument of yours like all the others presented are one sided and anyone who disagrees is then labeled as being idiotic or naive for failing to believe that violence is the only way.
It's interesting how the question and responses to opposing views are expressed in much the same way as the following statement by one of the vilest human beings to walk the face of the planet. He and the evil group he was part of engaged in the same type of thinking and actions.
“…the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.” - Hermann Goering at Nuremberg on 18th April, 1946
N. Korea and anyone else who creates and uses nuclear weapons, regardless of who they are, should cease developing nuclear warfare systems and tools - a fool would do otherwise, a fool who would knowingly endanger the whole world and humanity.
Circumlocution? Interesting.

To embark on the path to a nuclear exchange with another country is never a good option. The horror and destruction evidenced by the use of nuclear weapons in WWII should be enought evidence of that.
To go down that path is certain to lead to our (the human race) partial or total destruction. That is why we should do everything possible. short of using the nuclear route, to remove nuclear weapons from the hands of countries like North Korea and Iran, who have not demonstrated the capability of acting responsibly with other nations of the world nor caring about the consequences of their actions.

Nothing is certain except your pessimistic attitude.
Nuclear war is not a certainty until it is used. The USA have generally been reactionary throughout history, so I would suggest it all depends on how N Korea reacts to the UN.

Use of nuclear weapons will be a disaster for the world as a whole. There will be widespread destruction and radiation. All of us could be affected or even perish.
