My boyfriend of a year and a half decided that day after I broke up with him would come to my house at 3a.m. and tell his best friend, who happened to become a best friend of mine during our relationship, that he was in love with her. He was scared to come get his stuff from my house, but he could annouce that to her in my yard. So, now I want to be friends with her, but at the same time it breaks my heart to know the man I was in love with never loved me..and our whole relationship was a lie. So, what do you think.. do I still remain friends with her.. or do I let her go?

Why let her go? She did nothing wrong, she was simply the object of your boyfriend' s affection if what he says is true. He might have said that simply to hurt you. Then, you would be losing a friend over nothing. I say ignore him and his words and keep your friend. I really believe that what he did is mean and vindictive and most likely a lie to punish you for breaking up w/ him.

It is easy for a young man to say they love you just to get sex i know this hurts you and is unfair be more careful next time make new friends let them both go .if you see your friend on the road you can say Hi but keep walking.Best of luck you will meet someone who loves you truely give it time.

This is a tough situation. Are you okay with him dating your best friend? Be honest with yourself. How does your friend feel about the situation? Does she still want to be friends with you? If you're both okay with it then you should still be friends but do not hang out with the two of them together. It's too soon. And ask your friend not to mention her current relationship with him while you are healing. Good luck.

Look people are like that, they do what makes their hearts feel good and pump more blood, Now I have learned that I will only do things which I like best. So if it makes you feel good to still remain friends ok, if it makes you feel pained then leave her.

golden rule of friendship don't ever fall in love with a friends ex if she was a true friend to you should would tell him to get lost you don't need either of them they both sound negative and don't think of others just them self's that's a hard one follow your heart it knows best...

You have to decide whether you trust your friend or not.
Friendship begins and depends heavily on trust. If you don't trust her you can't truly be friends.

depends on if you can deal with it or not. its not her fault ya know. they could be soul mates, ya never know. or they could break up in a week.
