Yeah - one will break your toe, the other will break your skull. And both can be cracked for a nice 4 if played well.

None really, although both are intended to take the batsman by surprise.

A yorker is a ball which pitches in or close to the batsman's block hole (in other words, almost at his feet) and forces him to play a very late defensive stroke. It can be bowled by medium pace bowlers as well as fast, and it is almost impossible to play an attacking shot to a yorker, especially from a fast bowler. It is possible to bowl a yorker on all types of pitches, both soft and hard.

A bouncer is a ball which pitches well down the wicket and bounces up viciously at the batsman's body or head. It can only be effectively bowled by fast bowlers, and is intended to intimidate the batsman and make him nervous. However, unlike the yorker, it is possible to play an attacking shot at a bouncer if you are good enough! A bouncer is only possible to bowl well on a hard, dry pitch.

The other big difference between them is that a batsman's life is not in danger from a yorker!
