We can't eliminate fear and anxiety, because we need them. We need to have a rational sense of danger otherwise we would probably be dead. I'm a sufferer of anxiety and I wish it could just be wiped out all together but I understand that we can't. Our body needs to get prepared to fight whatever danger we are sensing or to runaway, "fight or flight". With people like me though I know most of the thoughts that cause this 'preperation' are irrational and there's nothing that can wipe it, I have to change my thought processes and control it.

Well, fear and anxiety themselves are not all bad. They're evolutionary responses that tend to help us out of potentially dangerous situations. Anxiety makes us more alert, helps us attend to certain issues we may be facing.
The problem with fear is when these responses become irrationally attached to things that normally would not be so dangerous, like water, or people. The problem with anxieties is when they are excessive and persistent.
If these tendencies causes significant impairment and distress such that a person can't function well in work or day to day life, then that's an anxiety disorder, and psychological treatment may be necessary.

Most fears and anxieties are based on lack of knowledge or reaction to painful experiences. More often than not, the reality of our fears is much worse than what will really come in the future.
As long as there is pain and suffering and apprehension about the future, there will never be an end to fear and anxiety.

Fear is a useful feeling/emotion used as a perspective stimuli responce.
However anxiety has no beneficial properties and can be a debilitating psychosis.
It is impossible to eliminate fear since it is a primary sensory responce, however one can learn to condition the emotional value depending on the stimulation and reactive behavior, pharms are not a good choice for fear control because of the reduction of CNS stimulation is affected and can be dangerous..
Anxiety can be controlled using certain pharms.

I think that fear and anxiety are survival instincts that come from the caveman days when these feelings caused adrenalin in our systems which helped us to get ready to fight or flee. I think in this day and age, these feelings are mostly outdated but they come out in feelings of stress. I'm not certain about how to eliminate them completely and don't know if we really want to completely eliminate them because these are instincts that help us detect danger and survive.

Fear is a natural reaction of the body to help keep it safe from harm. Fear keeps you aware of your surroundings, keeps you from dangerous situations.
It releases adrenaline and gives you that fight or flight sensation.
Anxiety is another story. This is over worry. The difference between fear and anxiety is that it sometimes comes on you without anything to worry about. There is a difference between worry and anxiety. Anxiety is a heightened state of worry that cause to much adrenaline to be released thus making your heart race, your palms sweat or sweat all over, rapid breathing. It's an over reaction.
I hope this helps.

Stop trying to be in control every moment of your life. Accept yourself for what you are and don't blame yourself for what you can't be. Works for me!
