Cos a lot of juice runs out when you go to the toilet afterwards. So does the sperm leave the juice behind and if so, is it swimming in the air inside said cavity? Or does it retain some juice to swim in? Also does lying with your legs up the wall afterwards help you to get pregnant or is that a myth? ta

Lying down afterward with legs raised will aid the amount of sperm retained & is advised by the medical profession to do so if struggling to concieve or if your partner has a low sperm count.

As for the sperm needing 'juice' to swim in, you are right in one respect. Sperm will 'swim' inside you, but your vagina & cirvix are already wet with fluid & the sperm will use this to travel to the egg.

Good luck if you are trying to concieve, best bet is speak to your doctor.

You only need 1 sperm to make a baby so considering millions are let loose, then a certain percantage will be lost! You can still have some 'juice' inside you a day or so later so it is designed to hang about for a bit. Lying with your legs raised is not a myth - the sperm is helped down with gravity thus increasing your chances. You don't have to actually lie up along the wall. Even just a pillow under your hips will be enough to help raise your hips to a good angle to aid those little swimmers. Just try and delay going to the toilet for as long as possible to give as many a good chance as possible! Good luck if you're trying!

The fluid is semen (or seminal fluid) and sperm (or spermatazoa) makes up around 4% of this fluid. Other contents include mucus, steroid and prostoglandin hormones and lipids. One of the most important features of sperm is its tail which allows it to "swim", this movement is aided by a chemical within the sperm cell called ATP, which provides energy.

When a woman is fertile the cervix goes through a change known as ferning where the entrance becomes fluid allowing the sperm to pass through. Once the sperm get near to the ova (egg)they begin to swim faster in an attempt to fertilise the egg.

I hope this helps to answer your question. I have tried to remember what I learnt during AS human biology so it may not be 100%.

Sperm needs fluid to swim in, some of the fluid is provided by the woman as well so even though a lot seems to come out there is enough left for the sperm to get through!

I think a bit comes out when your on the toilet but the rest goes up! So i would say the sperm travels through fluid. It only takes 1 sperm to make a baby, and in a dot this size . there are thousands of the little things.

sperm is made of pretty strong stuff so wether you are on your back, front, stood up or on the loo, they will still swim. They know what they gotta do and that's why, no matter how well yo douche afterwards, you are still very likely to get preggers if the time is right. All the experts in the world will tell you though that there are "better" positions to be in to both encourage and/or retain the man stuff, within your person. (I say keep your legs up afterwards - worked for me! (well the wife that is x dad of 5)

If you don't know how sperm gets into the vagina, you better learn about sex before having any!!! and here's the info about your sperm in regards to air/fluid...... info was obtained through the San Fransisco sex education/information clinic:

sperm can only travel in vaginal mucus, and even then, it has to be the right time of the month when the fluids are thin enough to allow them to swim. Given that they die quickly when exposed to air and need a fluid to travel in.

When you have sex, you produce a mucous to lubricate your vagina. (When you're turned on, you're "wet") The spermatoza swim in this fluid to the egg cell. It's probable that some seminal fluid is lost due to leakage after sex, so it may well be a good idea to lay back with a pillow under you like an answerer above said. It should aid the sperm as it's a downhill swim.

Good luck in your attempts!

it swims through fluid but a lot of it runs out cos of body temp

sperm is kept on the outside of the body
then when its in a woman its hotter so the temp changes the consistency, not sure about the legs up the wall trick

good luck

p.s agree with your comment about the bint that said another blonde

Sweetie that "juice" contains millions of sperm and only one of these millions is required to fertilize an egg, so of course the rest runs out. Some people say that laying with your legs up helps, but think about the millions of women who fall pregnant without sticking their legs up in the air.... So no I dont think this really works.
