Is it cheaper than Seattle? Any city outside King County is probably cheaper.

I grew up in Bellingham Washington.. My grandparents lived on Lummi.. I would say it is a fantastic place to live.. friendly people and great schools ... it is a far cheaper place to live then Seattle for raising a family ...

It is definitely cheaper than Seattle, and I've also heard that it's great for raising a family. It's location is a cozy fit between Vancouver and Seattle...so you'll never too far away from all the things the cities have to offer, but you have the peace and safety of a smaller town. Bellingham is also located on the "Sunshine Belt" and has more sunshine than the Seattle area. It still gets dark there in the winter though! :)

Whatever you decide, Bellingham is a great choice!

It is nice in Bellingham. I use to go up there quite frequently as at the time I lived in the Skagit Valley, so was close by. It is cheaper than Seattle, of course just about anywhere is cheaper. The crime rate is lower also I believe.

I understand Bellingham, WA has the lowest crime, lowest real estate prices, great school system, and the sun does not shine 363 days out of the year! Happy Trails!

I visited friends living there -- it was a lovely place and yes, cheaper than Seattle. Much nicer and more clean and beautiful, too, in my opinion.
