Well, people have got to believe in something if they want to move on in life. They have to keep hoping else they won't be able to last! As for God, i believe it makes them feel secure to know that there's someone up there who loves you and will listen to your prayers and grant you your wishes. They have faith in that higher power and i believe it gives them strenght. For an example, a person will definitely do a given task better if they know that their parent or spouse or friend is constantly there to help them out and just listen to them

Hi, every person has his/her own emotional feelings. Some people believe in god and some people believes that in every person there is a god i mean to say a heart......like me.
Can you expand what "something" in the question mean?

It's a normal human instinct to want to believe in a higher power. We look at the universe in its complexity and logical order and believe that it must have been intelligently designed.
I believe in God, and I think God does intervene in our lives and has intervened in mine. That belief has strengthened me far more than it might have ever been considered to have weakened me.

Believing in something makes life more sensible, specially when you have God to believe in. God represents goodness, His enemy represents all evilness. One needs to believe in something to be in the right groove of things.

Because our very existence is based on the belief that we are existing.Same way, every concept/ idea/object is accepted on the basis of our belief in the same. So, we believe. The very same rule applies for one's belief in God.

i think the reason of believing is some thing is to gain some thing,n the reason why people believe in god,i cant answer because I'm not believe in god.
