If it matters to you mentally or psychologically, then you are probably better off asking it before marriage. Else you might end up regretting her for the rest of your married life wondering why you did not ask when you had a chance. Also remember that alls fair in the game of love and war. So you would never really know the truth ! Not unless both of you sign up for medical examination.
If it is just curiousity, then I guess you could always ask after the marriage.

Civilisation & worldly wisdom should have taught a lot of things to you by now. Neither of you should be posing such a stupid question. To put it more bluntly, when you order for some food in a hotel, & when it arrives, will you ask the bearer, if he has licked the same.

Whats that word virginity? Just ask about STDs & have a HIV test done for both of them. That should be fair enough.

You can still ask, if you really want to - but ethically you don't have to.
