there is a cemetary here where we live and its called buttram cemetary my wife says its pronounced buttrum cemetary i say its called butt-ram cemetary what do you guys think ?

I'd say butt-ram too.

Technically, the correct pronunciation is dependent upon the way the person or town or whatever the cemetary is named after pronounced "buttram". But absent this knowledge, I'd pronounce it the way you do - buttrum, emphasis on the first syllable.

Could be either, depending on local accent. Ask someone locally who's lived there a long time.

I think I'll go with but-tram, butt-rum sounds worse than butt-ram.
