You can't buy letters - well, you could try, but I've never heard of ANYONE selling just letters - instead you need to have the keyboard replaced. They sell them on ebay, usually for $20-$40. Otherwise, if it's still under warranty, send it back to dell and get them to replace it. If not, they'll still fix it, but probably charge you $75-150. (This is why you ALWAYS buy a 3 year warranty with laptops).

This happened to me a few years ago (with a Dell Laptop) when my cat walked across the keyboard and pulled out one of the keys with his claws...

Solution: New Keyboard - a few years ago they were about $30 (AUD).

More info: Keyboards are apparently so cheap that it is not worth selling individual keys. Depending on your Support arrangement with Dell, they may replace it free-of-charge on-site (which was the case with my laptop). However, give Dell Support a call (they have toll-free numbers in most countries) and have a chat to them.

Alternative solution... if you find a Dell Laptop keyboard which is not being used, you can salvage the 'K' from it, but the plastic connectors are quite fiddly, and break very easily. I do still have my old keyboard, it does have a 'K', but it is in Australia, and I am not :-| However, if you still have this problem in a couple of weeks, feel free to contact me, and we could work something out :-)

:-)

heavily get rid of the cap from the different working key so the substantial retainer maintains to be related to the keyboard. Take a closer look on the substantial retainer, it’s related to the keyboard at 4 diverse factors. deliver jointly the disconnected retainer an analogous way as one on the keyboard and positioned it back in place. positioned the substantial cap on the retainer and snap the cap back in place. subject 2. the substantial fell off the keyboard and you lost the cap or the retainer. to that end you need to purchase a single key eBay, basically seek for it. (seek examples: “Dell keyboard key”, “Toshiba keyboard key”, “HP keyboard key”, and so forth… )

You can:
1. use superglue to fix the keytop permanently to its underlying switch.
2. look around in scrap shop for a dead keyboard from which you can use a keytop.
3. Buy a new keyboard. In india they cost about USD 2/-

Try using super glue but make sure it is thoroughly dry before putting it back on.
