Now that's a good idea.
How long do U think B4 the PC brigade start bleating about Human Rights?
Me, I would back the introduction of removing Prisoners Human Rights, 4 the duration of their sentences.
They can get them back again, once they'd served their time.
Take away their Human Rights & we may stand the chance of actually Punishing them.
Clearing mine-fields should B the least of their worries.

That would be endorsed by the Bush administration.
and Kim Jong il.
and Suddam.
its got to be good for the children, not to have their legs blown off, but better instead to have human trash do it for them.
you bleeding heart wackos crying about prisoner rights, "oh what if they are innocent?" well you know what, thats a big what if, but the children that are getting knocked back are ALL innocent, no doubt there.
Prisoners in the west get healthcare, dental care, meals, gym, TV's, drugs... and we pay for it. I think its time they paid their dues. if they are repeat offenders, they should be sent to clear fields.
you people have never been the victim of serious crime have you? you sit in your cosy bean bags sipping tea, while the real world is run rampant with filth that would be better utilised dancing over minefields. '
the Q is hypothetical, and will never happen, but a damn good idea.
failing that, why not send in the people who voted for the people who ordered the mines. oh no, that could be you!

Your God No!
These "prisoners" have been sent to prison to reform.
There are many reasons an individual can be incarcerated & many laws that are an injustice of human rights.
& who dropped the cluster bombs & paid for the mines?
The US of A.
Send in the men who ordered the bombs to be dropped on the poor Iraqi civilians aka Bush & Cheney et al
There are military personel that are highly trained (& paid) to get rid of these real weapons of mass destruction. The real evil is that these weapons are used by "civilised nations".
PS> You think I voted for attacking Iraq / Afghanistan?
Muppet! The Western World are loosing their civil rights to the same people who dropped the bombs, supplied the gasses which were dropped on the kurds.
You think I haven't suffered crime? More fool you. Hypothetical questions, keep them for 101 philosophy. Criminal, large band width. & the crime is defined by the ruling power.
Bombs, mines, wrong. Sending in civilians to disarm, wrong.
US Govt attacked Iraq, bombed Iraq for the oil... send in Shell to clear the areas.
Crazy that people would actually believe that people who have stepped beyond man made rules are expendable.
Life is life. This applies to the killers, from Govt to common man to apply to. How many lives does the Bush family have to answer for? Many more than the murderers in the US prisons.
How many millions will die from Bush dropping the Kyoto agreement?

Why minefields?
The idea is partially there but send ones that have life sentences or less to serve in the battlefield, not the minefield.

yes, just like anyone who captures americans should use them as live target practice, or to test the sharpness of their knives on. of coruse we shouldn't, this is such a stupid idea, if you want to give the rebels the moral high ground completely and hand every muslim a great reason to attack america, this might be the best way to do that. the reason that america is a great nation is because we have standards that we hold ourselves to (or we did at least). we believed that there were principles and ideals in life that mattered, obviously you don't.

thats ridiculous
how can u think of that they r humans too
there are all kinds of ppl and u cant help it yeh absolutely it wld help clean up the crime but it wld be a horrendous act there are innocent ppl in there too who havent commited any murder or rape and are just facing the charges coz they cant afford a decent lawyer or are too poor
yeah for the people who have got death ssentences this is a better option
they can roam the battlefeilds and live their life until they stumble upon a mine
its better than sitting in the solitary cabin without seeing the sunlight for days

Come back Hitler, all is forgiven! It is said that 1 in five people living in the UK will experience mental illness sometime in their life. Why are they all asking (and answering) questions on Yahoo! Answers?
