i'd tell them outright that i'm interested in this topic because i myself am a lesbian.
the same thing happened to me.
well, not exactly the same thing.
my dad walked in on me and my girl back then too "into" each other.
so, my dad asked me the obvious question, and i gave him the even more obvious answer.
know what happened next?
my dad went to church to consult with a priest!
he asked the priest if he had done something wrong to contribute to my becoming a lesbian.
fortunately, the priest was open-minded and did not go into a litany of speeches on how my dad should drive out the demon inside me.
my dad's pretty okay with it right now.
although i try my best never to let him walk in on me & my girls again!
lol!

I'd say "Hi. MOM! When did you get into town? Why didn't you tell me you were coming up? My partner and I would have made up the guest room for you. Oh, hey, by the way....when did you get a key to our house?"

My Mom and Dad are wonderfully supportive and adore my partner of TEN YEARS!
I'm an adult, I live in the home my partner and I have built together along with my teenage son. My Mom and Dad are semi-retired and live in the Ozark Mountains. I'd be happy, but suprised if my Mother suddenly just showed up in my house.
Especially since she would have had to drive for Eight hours to get here.

Nothing. If they have a problem with it, their fools. If they think it's somehow changes my sexuality from straight to gay/bi or sexually cuirious or confused just for browsing, their also fools. People should be able to look at and learn about what ever they want, has nothing to do about their character. Kind of like just because your browsing the web about the function of cars doesn't mean you are a car guy or want to be a mechanic.

I'm an adult and don't live at home....and I'm out to my family, and they accept who I am. so, if my mom drove all the way over to my house and came into my room right now, I'd just say "hi" and ask her why she came over at 735am.

I would just continue and tell them that I find the subject interesting. If they ask questions, just answer honestly. It makes it easlier for everybody.

I had mine found so I just told them. Yes I like it. I want it back. It is safer than actually doing it. They agreed.
