Is it ok to wash my beard area with face wash?
Or dont I need to wash that area?
If I shave it off years later, will my face's skin condition be uneven?

its good to shampoo your facial hair as well as trimming it down a little from time to time. it will keep down hair bumps and also keep your face clean and healthy.

I had a full facial beard for over a year and have had many other smaller beards, although now I am clean shaven.

I really don't think you need to worry at all about shampooing/conditioning the beard or trying to look after the skin.

The skin actually was naturally much better condition due to the beard being there. If you want to use a good quality soap to wash your face, this is good, but I found that shampoo and conditioner made my face more itchy as I naturally have quite sensitive skin.

Just be careful when you get rid of the beard to do it in stages, trim it down very short before shaving, and use good quality shave cream and razor.

just care for it as you would without a beard..like you care for the hair on your head..shampoo-condition. also, use an after shave with a conditioner in it

Area under the beard will retain its softness due to less wear & tear.
