I am 18 and wanted to know if anyone else is open with their parents about their sex life (in my case stepdad). i feel comfortable telling my stepdad when i have sex, with who and sometimes the details too. Have been open with him ever since i was 16. I feel more comfortable telling him than my mom. Any one else have this experience

No, but it is wonderful as long as you don't feel uncomfortable about it and you obviously don't. Everyone is different. You probably just pick up on your mom's discomfort when the subject is brought up.
I have one kid that can tell me anything and one that will hardly talk to me at all. Communication is complicated and must go both ways comfortably.
Both you and your step-dad must be comfortable with this part of your life.
Congrats on having a great Dadish guy in your life.

I think you should keep your Private business to yourself . Step Dad
or not .... He more than likely gets off with you telling him your stories ......Being open doesn't mean being stupid .... When you open yourself up like that , A man feels like it's a come on........
A normal Man or in this case a Step Dad or blood related Dad would have stopped you and explained to you about being a lady.
Either you want to brag, or boost, make yourself out to look loose or as a young gal that is trying to get her step dad hot .....Being open with your parents is fine .... But dont go into detail....It will always end up going bad ....

As a parent, I know that I would not to want to know any details,my son has his girlfriend stay with him on weekends, when they argue or are having fun or whatever, I welcome conversation, and communication, but not that much! Why would you be telling your parent or parent figure the details?You're only 18, you shouldn't have allot of details!The experience is supposed to be shared with your lover....LOVER!
