I think so. Why did high schools and colleges start using aluminum bats? It was because of money. Aluminum bats use to be significantly less expensive than they are today and it was cheaper to have one for many years than a wooden bat that would break. Now because of constantly changing specs and very expensive aluminum bats, it makes more sense, financially and for safety.

For high school, no. But there are at least two summer wooden bat leagues in the northeast for college. The Cape Cod League and the New England College Baseball League. Only for college freshman through junior. Good games cheap. Our local team has had five former players reach the majors, and about thirty in the minors.

Just about every player professional baseball player active today grew up with aluminum bats, so I don't see why it should be an issue. Besides, it's not the responsibility of high school baseball to groom players for MLB, that's what the minor-leagues, semi-pro, etc. are for.
