My friends and I enjoy playing card games, but often times there are only three of us. We've tried playing many multiplayer card games, but three just doesn't seem like enough players for many of there. Are there any games that are suited for three players only? Or work well with three players?

Hand and Foot is loads of fun with 3 people. Canasta can be fun, but I like Hand and Foot more.

Three Player Card Games:
There is a game called Trump.
Trump is usually played by 4 players; we can convert the same to a 3 player game, wherein the person who keeps the trump is against the other two.

Cards required: J, 9, A, 10, K, Q. (Hierarchy)
Total Cards - 24.
Deal 4 Cards in the first round for keeping the trump.

there is a game called "5, 3, 2". you play with all the cards from ace to eigth ( decending cards) and only two sevens. you give each person 5 cards and the first person you give the cards too gets set tramp before you hand hin the rest of the cards and has too get 5 hands , the second person you gave cards too needs to make 3 hands the third 2 hands. you than give each play three cards than two. you than turns putting down cards of the same shape and colour , the highest card out down wins that hand and if you dont have shape you are able to cut the hand wiyth the tramp set in the beginning. at the end when all cards are put down , you count the number of set each one has , if someone if short a hand the person who has the extra hand gets to pick a card from the other persons hand and gives him a card you dont want. and the person who made 5 that round gets to make 2 this round , the person who made 3 the periovus rounds gets to make 5 and the person who made 2 gets to make 3 this round.
