They came in one day when my boyfriend left a bottle of wine open. Now they seem to be everywhere in the kitchen (not in the pantry or anything, but all over the counters, they've gotten into the bathroom, etc.)

How do i get rid of them? Maybe i can pour a dish of somehting that will attract them? The way you put beer out for slugs in the garden?
HELP!! they're driving me crazy!!

Keep several shallow petri-dishes filled with honey. The fruit-flies will come and get drowned !

Unfortunately, fruit flies breed and multiply at an alarmingly fast rate. I have heard that they sell fruit fly killer, but I don't know the name of the product since I haven't purchased it myself. Make sure any food on your counters or in your pantry is wrapped air-tight. If you kill them with your hand or towel whenever you see them, eventually they will all die off. You could also put a petri dish size of a sticky substance on your counter to attract and catch them.

Wow...Go to your local hardware store, or the grocery aisle that stocks what are flycatchers in a tube. They're not toxic, but very, very sticky strips of paper that you slowly pull out of the tube until the entire strip unfolds. There should be a tack to attach it to the ceiling or wherever you need it to be. Keeping old fruit tossed out will help, as will making sure any counterspace is cleaned and dried.

You have to spray them with something.
Maybe some kind of insecticide...
Just check the stores, they might have a solution.
