If you mean you had pneumonia, you most likely took some kind of antibiotic. Some antibiotics can cause yeast infections. Go to a doctor to be tested to make sure what it is. The doctor will give you a prescription for a cream to use, or you may be able to buy it over the counter.

But you must be tested to see exactly what it is! Nothing to be ashamed about, so don't hesitate to see the doctor. And nothing will cure it except the proper treatment. So get to the doctor as soon as you can, so you will feel better!

I'm just chiming in to say that the first answer you got is right on. The antibiotics upset your natural bacteria levels and while antibiotics are good for killing the bacteria making you ill, it also kills off all the "good" bacteria too, causing things like yeast overgrowth.

If you saw a doctor you most likely have a follow up visit coming... so make sure and tell your doctor!

You can also try buying the over the counter yeast infection meds and seeing if it helps.

Many women (myself included) get a yeast infection with EVERY antibiotic treatment, so much so that my previous doc would write out a prescription for yeast infection meds at the same time he was giving me the antibiotics!
