I'm a senior in high school, and within the next few months I'm going to be auditioning at an art college for their theatre program and I was wondering if anyone knew any good sites for monologues? The audition requires two contrasting monologues, between 5-7 minutes each, or one monologue that includes song. Any help would be appreciated!

Monologue books and websites can be a little tricky as they tend to be largely overdone. One of the best sources for good monologues is your high school drama/theatre teacher. They will know your strengths and weaknesses and should be able to suggest some good ones. If you do resort to a monologue book it is a very good idea to actually read the play once you have selected one. Look for something that shows a range of emotion. There should be a small narrative with in the monologue, with a definite arch. Most importantly though find something that reaches you. If you can't invest in it then the auditor won't invest in you. I would highly recommend reading a fabulous auditioning book by Dr. Roger Ellis, "The Complete Audition Book for Young Actors". He is very highly respected through out the theatre community and particularly among educators. Break-a-leg I hope all goes well for you.

If you send me your e-mail, I'll send you a kick-*** comedic monologue. It's RARELY done because it's an adaptation from a book written by the author of Wicked.

As for a dramatic one, look to the play "praying for rain." There's a good amount of female monologues for someone your age. Sam Shepard's Lie of The Mind may also have some.
