Take a lemon and it floats. Peel it it sinks. It all depends on its density. Apples will float in water, while pears sink.
Watermelons also float in water, so if you have a pool and want to cool them a bit and don't have room in your 'frig, just toss them in the pool!

i am in the 6 th grade and i learned that if a fruits weight is higher than the waters density it will sink because the buoyancy cant hold it up

<>Offhand, I cannot think of a fruit that does NOT float. All melons and citrus certainly do float. I'm not sure about all berries, but I tend to think they all do.

all heavy fruits sinks and light fruits float.......example:take a grape n it will float,take whole bunch of grapes n they will sink.....
