Because they cherry picked the best of those ideas
Didn't repeat the mistakes that were made in the "Articles of Confederation"
and showed a sly genius for understanding human nature as they put it together
and, as a group, did the right thing and made it the supreme law of all 13 colonies -- a masterpiece of teamwork which is the factor that makes the framers themselves so important

No doubt the American constitution grew out of the previous history of evolving govts. attempting to give more and greater freedom and opportunity to the greatest number of people. But from the first, there has always been discrepancy between the ideals put forth and the actuality that has unfolded. Plato's Republic envisioned a society "of the people." And yet ancient Greek society was a slave state, with a tiny number of privileged "freemen" who owned land. It was a "republic" to the tiny minority, but a slave state to the majority of human beings living there. After millennia of struggling upward, so to speak, toward more "representative" govts., America proposed to take the next step forward to a totally popular ("of the people") government, in which no powerful inner group could control the great mass of the population, and yet the individual could live free of the control of the masses. Presumably because of his "divine right" (which previously had only belonged to kings). However, if "there is no God," then divine right of individuals ceases to exist.
If he is created by blind chance, which is not even logically supportable, then every moment is a flip of the coin as to what rights he has. This is the dilemma of the moment. And it is possibly fatal to the popular form of government, except in illusion.
